Conceptualizationism II

Here's another old concept drawing that didn't go anywhere. I believe it was an attempt to see if elves might have a spot in a gothic horror setting. The idea was eventually laid to rest I think because of game mechanics or something in the development but I think there could have been a visual way to incorporate elves into a setting with werewolves, vampires, and zombies (not that this particular drawing is it though!).

  1. It worked in Legend, right? I believe in your vision.

  2. I dig the bracers and the use of feathers. I think elves could have worked. They could have been werewolves - like it was a disease the slowly infecting more and more of them. So one hand you had these stately and noble elves and then in contrast they were terrible psychopathic werewolves.

  3. They look both regal and menacing. I am into the ear split design you had going there. Cool stuff Steve!

  4. Thanks, everybody! Thom, I would say Legend is more "gothic fairy tale" than gothic horror. Plus, slight-figured mostly-nude boys with glittery skin was most definitely NOT going to work - ;P
